Kyrgyzstan (2)

KYRGYZSTAN 2014/15 - AWAY SHIRT - JOMA

One of my favourite shirts recently, I worked hard with emails and contacting to have it, but finally worth all my efforts!
This shirt was worn by Kyrgyzstan captain Talant Samsaliev in some 2014 matches.
It was obtained thanks to most welcome help of FFKR and the media and marketing department, expecially in the person of miss Anna Osmonalieva, who agreed to help me in my task of completing the 211 shirts collection. As a gift, I sent her an Italy shirt for her son.
Huge thanks to her and to all FFKR!

Ivory Coast (2)

IVORY COAST 2014/15 - HOME SHIRT - PUMA

Beautiful jersey of Ivory Coast, issued for the match against Sierra Leone in September 2015 (played in white). The shirt is a gift from Simon Deli, Ivorian player of Slavia Prague, who also signed it.
Heartfelt thanks to my namesake!

Mauritius

MAURITIUS LATE 90' - HOME SHIRT - CITIZEN SPORT

Pretty rare and obscure shirt, but comes as matchworn having got it from former Mauritius player Jacques-Désiré Périatambée, who spent a long career in Ligue 1 and 2 in France.
He told me he used it in late 90' game vs South Africa and after months searching for a photo, luckily I found it!

Liberia

LIBERIA 2015 - HOME SHIRT - ADIDAS

Shirt coming from Nea Salamis (Cyprus) defender Solomon Grimes, who has more than 20 caps with Lone Stars.
He took this shirt during his last travel home to play (and defeat) Tunisia in African Cup 2017 qualifiers.
The shirt is brand new, he added his name and number on the back as special gift to me!

Guinea (2)

GUINEA 2012/14 - HOME SHIRT - AIRNESS

Another superb shirt, signed and worn by Belgium based defender Lanfia Camara during the 2014 friendly vs Algeria.
He added the name on the back to give me something special, because it was not originally planned.

Palestine (2)

PALESTINE 2015 - AWAY SHIRT - PEAK

Another shirt with a great story behind it.
The shirt comes straight from Palestine, with the help of Marouf Shatara, member of the Palestinian Football Association. After getting it, Marouf gave it at the end of a league game to the Italian coach of Al Ahli Hebron, Stefano Cusin. Stefano works in Palestine but lives in Arezzo, in Tuscany. During the summer he brought the shirt in Italy, and in Arezzo has been taken over by a friend of mine living in the city. Along with the shirt Marouf also gave me a book: "One hundred years of football in Palestine", written by Issam Khalidi, who tells the complete story of football in Palestine.
A heartfelt and sincere thank goes both to Marouf and Stefano: people can still work together and there is still a bit of hope for the world!

Finland (2)

FINLAND 2012/13 - AWAY SHIRT - ADIDAS

Shirt gifted by Rasmus Schuller, young and well talented midfielder actually playing in HJK Helsinki.
He accepted to give one of his shirt to add in my project.
I don't have enough info about the shirt to know in which match it was worn, so I will consider it match issued.
Anyway, my eternal gratitude goes to Rasmus!

Guyana

GUYANA 2015 - HOME SHIRT - ADMIRAL

Another thank goes to Admiral, that since started to produce kits for some smaller national teams made my life easier.
This is the last shirt of Guyana, used in the World Cup qualifiers in 2018.
This is the last missing shirt in Concacaf zone, now I have all 35 shirts! A massive achievement considering the difficulty in finding all the shirts, especially from the Caribbean islands.

Jordan

JORDAN 2012 - HOME SHIRT - JAKO

Considering Jordan one of the stronger national team in the East Asia, I thought it could have been easier to find a shirt. Really it is not so, and the fact that the name "Jordan" coincides with the former basketball champion "Michael Jordan" does not simplify things on Ebay :-D :-D
Fortunately, in one way or another I bought this jersey, produced in Turkey by Jako.

Kuwait

KUWAIT 2014/15 - HOME SHIRT - UHLSPORT

Uhlsport confirms with this shirt to be one of my favourite brand in shirt-making. This Kuwait shirt design is absolutely amazing.
Even its story is particular: I had it from Kuwait embassy in Rome. I tried writing there to have some info about purchasing a shirt of their country, and the ambassador instead wanted to give me a shirt himself! A big thank to all the Kuwaiti people!
